This huge seaside city is the second most populated in Brazil and the sixth most populated in the Americas. It’s setting makes it one of the most majestic cities in the world and some say that God’s creation included the seventh day to form Rio De Janeiro.

The vast beautiful landscapes which can be viewed on the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, along with the most sparkling blue ocean waters and the brightness of the sandy beaches makes for a picture that cannot be rivaled.

Rio De Janeiro is also known for its shanty towns and Carnival festival, which has much for everyone to enjoy, including samba dancing, extravagant, colorful costumes, and parade floats.

4. Amsterdam
The capital city of the Netherlands is known for its thousands of buildings that line the canal system. The buildings are used for everything from restaurants, business offices, condos, apartments, and cafes, among others. 3. Rome
The capital of Italy, this city lies on seven hills along the Tiber River and has some of the most remarkable squares and architecture in the world. The buildings and monuments, many of which date by to the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries, are main attractions. However, the Colosseum, which dates back to around 70 or 80 AD is arguably one of the most sought after attractions in the world.
Also on the list of many to see while in Rome is the Pantheon, built around 120 AD, a former Roman temple and now Catholic church.

While the architectural landmarks are a primary reason people wish to visit Rome, a vacation to the city is non complete without taking time to the lovely streets.  Going to the Trastevere district, one can see palazzi and homes decked with flower boxes.

It’s rated by tourists as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The architecture alone is amazing in that each building is in and of itself, a work of art. The most prominent style is Gothic, much of which dates back to the 14th century with the use of arches and influenced by the Byzantine style as was as Islamic styles from Spain.

The appeal of the city also has to with its uniqueness. The beauty of the buildings is even more apparent with their reflection on the water of the canals. At first sight, the scenery is simply fascinating to the point where people are in awe, just marveling at it. In fact, it often makes one feel as though they are in a land of make-believe, a fantasyland. No other location in the world is quite like Venice and a trip to this majestic area is a must for all those whose passion is to travel.

The center of this majestic city in France offers a wide array of attractions and landmarks.  Once the most popular attraction, the Notre Dame Cathedral is now closed for renovations.
